That would be a great choice - you also have the option to look at their Z97-A ( abit more) which would provide compatibility with the Broadwell CPUs when they are released...So either of those two would be good and are great mobos, I did a build on the Z97-A a couple weeks back and it OCs better that the Z87 did (cooler and less voltage required for same OC
I think, I'm going with the Z87-A, but are there a actually a big difference between the Z87-A and the Z87-K? it's like 20 dollars more for the -A in my country
Better OCing (and better power phase design to run cooler), an extra PCI-E 16 for SLI/Xfire, better BIOS
