Certain game crash my pc

about a month ago some of my games started to crash my pc i dident care too much because it was black ops 2 i used to be able to play that but not now but today i got rocksmith and it wouldent work i have looked it up
for important info
My temps are ok
My drivers are up to date (gpu wise)
bios are up to date
What happens
i hit play on steam it says something like preparing to run game after that closes it crashes my pc no blackscreen or bluescreen i had to unplug my system please help me thank you :)

    my specs arent great but thay get the job done for all the games i used to play before the crash
    AMD FX 4100 quad core
    nvidia gforce gtx 260
    8gb ram

  3. Has this crash happened many times? oh and also dont unplug the PSU out from the back, you just have to hard restart the computer by pressing the power button for couple of secs untill the system is off, and then wait like 5 secs and turn it back on again.

    no it only happens when i open games like rocksmith black ops 2 GTA IV but my other games work perfectly including bf3
