So yeah, only half my ram slots work, and sometime soon I'll try a bios update to fix it but I doubt it'll work. I have a P6X58D-E with an i7 930, which is about 4 years old, but if I use the ram heavily and don't get the airflow over it fast enough (small case caused the problems), my whole computer just freezes. The ram slots that died only died as I was trying to test if certain ram sticks were the problem, and suddenly the computer didn't recognize anything in those slots.

I'm just wondering, in case the bios update doesn't work and breaks the whole thing, or if I can get much nicer performance from a different motherboard, what are the cheap ones that support the 930? And by cheap I mean preferably under about £30-40 as I don't really have the money for anything more, and my current one seems to still be quite expensive.
I don't really care if it doesn't support an SD card reader or USB 3 or anything, I'm just dying for a computer that won't crash on every nice looking game, as I have a GTX 680 which is more than capable of running more or less everything fine. Also triple channel memory would be nice but I don't mind if it's not.

Btw, before anyone suggests the GPU or anything else other than the motherboard has problems, individual stress tests on the CPU, GPU and RAM are totally fine. Running 8 simultaneous RAM stress tests for each core will eventually come up with errors on each of them. Heavy usage of RAM with the CPU (after effects)/GPU (watch dogs, hitman) will freeze the computer, and rebooting will say windows has recovered from a serious error. Different sticks of RAM still crash the system.
