Ok so every game I've installed and played has crashed over and over some less frequent that others. One game popped up and said I only had 3600MB of Ram and it requires 4096mb. I have installed 8GB of RAM. I've pulled up my PC performance manager and it's reading the full 8192Mb and have 4610 reserved I know the last stick I bought is a slower speed than the performance 4GB i put in was just on a budget and thought any more couldn't hurt the system or was I wrong and need to buy the same brand and speed?

It is best if you are dual/tri/quad channeling, that all your RAM sticks are the same. If you switch it up, you could have some performance issues. Some will be less or more than others. I am not an expert on memory, but it is from the looks of it, since you have ones that are slightly different, your system is not using them to their full potential.

Yea I didn't think much about it at first but there is almost 500 MHz difference between the two one I get the money I will def buy a matching 1600MHz ram. I found I didn't realize I had installed the 32-bit windows7 os and didn't know each version has memory limitations, It was only allowing me to use 3.5GB of the 8GB. Thank you for taking the time for your input I appreciate any help or knowlege I can get being a first time PC builder!

Sort of sounds like either a 32bit OS or if 64bit then the sticks don't want to play if you have a 64bit rig try raising the DRAM voltage + 0.065, if a 32bit OS then are out of luck unless you get a 64bit OS.... If this doesn't solve it, let us know the CPU, mobo and model #s of the DRAM
