Hey guys

I want to build a HTPC that will be eventually connected to a NAS. What I'm looking for is to be able to play my collection of 1080p movies/tv shows. Gaming is nice, but i don't think i'll play anything more than old consoles emulation (SNES, genesis for nostalgia)

Here is what my build looks like for now

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2hXpmG

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($84.99 @ NCIX US)

Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer ($43.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $586.93
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I'm looking for feedback to see if i am missing something obvious or if you have better ideas. I don't really have a budget in mind, but like I said, i don't think i need the latest i7 CPU and a kickass GPU for my needs. Weirdly enough, if you have some recommendations for a fancier case i wouldn't mind spending more.

Thank you

Thanks for the input. Good point about the optical drive. Most of my media is digital and stored on various HDD (soon to be NAS). I still have some blu ray and old tv series DVD which is why i thought about the drive. I was told i could rip my blu rays with a regular blu ray drive and proper software. But it is indeed very optional.
