I can't believe I am actually making this post, but to be honest, taking a look at some of the methods I've seen online have my head spinning.
Here is my situation:
I am building a new machine, well, mostly; I'm keeping my RAM, case, and HDD, and replacing everything else. This is a gaming rig, NOT for use with word processing, music, etc.
I just want to wipe my HDD and install a brand new copy of windows I purchased. I don't want to back anything up, I don't want to make 5 partitions, I just want it to be like I was when I first build the machine.
Is this as complicated as I have read? I have seen solutions ranging from downloading and burning a 3rd party app and booting from that, to going into the command prompt and making all sorts of odd changes.
I just want what is on there, to be gone, so I can build, pop in a CD, and start fresh. Is that too much for a guy to ask?
Thanks as always, everyone.
