I recently installed Windows 7 onto my Sony Vaio VGNSR520G laptop after I factory resetted it into its original Windows XP version. However, I'm receiving error code 0xc004e003 when I try to activate Windows 7 with the activation code from this computer. By the way, I used a copy of Windows 7 from a usb stick, but with the code from this laptop.

when you try to activate , i suggest you pick the activate by phone option , call microsoft and they willl help ,
you will have a series of codes in the activation selection you will have to read to tham and then all going well they will give you an alternate set of activation codes for you to get it working
