Hello guys,

I have 2 setups and really want to know which one would be best for gaming with my GTX750?

setup 1:
AMD A8 3800 4x2,7 GHz socket FM1
BioStar A55 mobo
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600

setup 2:
Intel Celeron G1820 2x2,7GHz socket 1150
GigaByte H81M-S1
Crucial Ballistix 1333 8GB

Pair GTX 750 with setup 2. The G1820 is better than A8-3800 in terms of CPU performance.

Well generally most games are still single threaded affairs, so the Intel will game a bit better, but then again most games are GPU bound, so either will probably have similar FPS. The AMD quad core might benefit on some games, but it's hard to say. Personally you have more upgrade path with the Intel setup, because you have a newer mobo and you could even drop in an i7 into that Mobo and keep going. The AMD version is very limited on the upgrades, and TBH, not worth it.

So in summary, I believe the Intel option is better.
