PC not running to full potential

My System: HP Envy m6
AMD A10 accelerated processor (quad core)
Radeon 7660g Discrete-Class Graphics
6 GB Ram
750 GB Hardrive

Now that we have that out of the way, hello! I've been experiencing problems with my PC more often than I would like, mostly with gaming. I was told about by people other than the ones selling the product that my PC would be able to run certain games on high with no issues. While I see others with the same system doing just this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOXPZ72nmZ0) I can not run games such as BF3, Arma 2, Metro 2033, Metro Last Light, and Skyrim without setting them to the lowest settings and even then experiencing MAJOR issues such as intense mouse lag, FPS issues, and input delay. But that's just it, often times my game loads the games fine on high settings, yet I have to turn down the graphics to compensate for the major issues I am dealing with. As stated before, one of my main issues is mouse lag. It took me over six hours to finally find a way to make Skyrim playable, yet even then I can only play it on the lowest settings without experiencing extreme mouse and input delay, even though they are both still present. Battelfield 3 lags even on the lowest setting possible. I would really appreciate any insight as to what may be causing these issues. I have run programs, updated my drivers, and troubleshooted each game to no avail. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for getting to me so quickly! So that looks legit, but if this is the case then how come the person on the video I linked in my description can run the game on high around 28-35 fps? And it seems like the fps is not my issue when I try running the game on higher settings, it's the errors I receive.

Is it possible you have one of the laptop's power saving modes turned on? Is the laptop getting hot? That is a good way to know if its running to its potential -- as the thermal barrier should be the real wall you hit that slows things down.

What resolution are you playing at? While I expect the laptop to suck at high settings, I would think some stuff would be sorta playable on lower settings.

I'm playing on 1366x768 (my native) resolution. Also, my laptop gets hot periodically and I just checked my laptops power saving modes. They are on performance mode. Alpha, read my initial post a little more thoroughly to see the kind of errors I am experiencing please :)

About the mouse lag, do you have Vsync off and the number of pre rendered frames reduced as I said before?

V sync is off for the games that I experience the problem with, but I can't do much about pre rendered frames because the catalyst control center doesn't allow the user to configure that setting.
