Right now I have an old gateway laptop from 08 and I'm looking to upgrade so that I will have something that is not as anemic as the gateway
So I'm looking for something around 300 or 400 USD that I can do basic tasks and maybe some light gaming like fallout 3 or new Vegas or borderlands
And I am fairly certain that any modern laptop will be far superior than the one I have now but I am not 100% sure about that
So if someone could help me clear up some if these questions I would be very grateful
Thanks in advance

Though the processor is not so fast. But its OK to do daily tasks! It has low power consumption, only single channel ram support.
Putting an ssd will obviously improve performance. It will also help in removing bottlenecks.
Check this for the processor review-

.
But do remember you can only do day to day tasks like surfing, media, and office works!
And overclocking information for the processor is not...
