I want to build this computer but I need professional opinion on whether or not this build is worth the money. I can’t send any more money but I am planning on increasing the ram to 16 GB and overclocking in the future.

I managed to find these parts for ~£700. Please recommend any parts that are cheaper but more effective. I want this to a pretty sold system for the next 4 year at least.

Sorry for the confusion the computer is not just for gaming I will be using it for work as well. This includes rendering, video editing and using programs such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Blender. I am studying A levels right now and this involves a lot of editing and rendering, I also study ICT which requires me to uses Dreamweaver. I want a computer that will improve my experience overall.

OK - have you checked recommended specs to run those apps?

For video rendering the i7 would be better. And more faster ram. And a good gpu - with lots of cuda cores.

The motherboard and psu I suggested still stand though.

When you say "I want a computer that will improve my experience overall" I'm wondering if that's some sort of existentialism thing.

My main concern is about the motherboard because i want a good motherboard. There are so many motherboards to choose from and i cant decide, plus i am on a tight budget i cant afford to spend any more than £140 on a motherboard.

-It needs to overclock
-I'm going to SLI
-I will over clock my gpu
-It needs to last me a while
-I will stream games/photo editing and video editing-render

so what is the best motherboard that i could get for my system bare in my all the other parts that i am using.

Yes, it is a great build, but instead of getting an i7, I would get an i5 4670k, and maybe an all in one liquid cooler, no? Maybe keep the 212 and the i5, and get a gtx 780, that would be smarter. Besisdes that, everything is really, really nice for the price point.

Which one would you recommend for me: Asus Z97-PRO vs Asus Z97-A because i want to know is the PRO going to be useful for me.

This is my final question once i have a solid answer i can build my first PC.

Thanks for those who took their time to help me out.

Neither. Get the asus z97-ws.
No useless features, but if you want to overclock, then go with the Z series. The pro will have a bit more "extreme overclokcing features" but that's only good if your really have a super overclocking setup with a full custom loop or sub-zero overclocking.

Then I would go with the -A instead of the pro. A lot of features on the pro will be useless for 75% of the people. The -a still overclock beautifully.
