I'm looking for a good Air CPU cooler for the 4790k coming out. I want to avoid water cooling because I messed one up a while ago. Can anyone recommend me a good air cooler? Also one that fits in a Nzxt Phantom 410.
Thanks.

Hyper 212 Evo, you will have to see the width of the case and see if it will fit, but this is a great cooler for the price. If you want to go ham with your overclocking and get really cool temperatures you could always check out the Noctua NH-D14.

Unfortunately, there's no compatibility information for the Asus Z97-A yet. So, you would have to hope for it to work. But checking over how the Noctua D-14 fits on Asus boards, very few didn't: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_gen&products_id=34&lng=en#Asus

The D14 is very similar to the Phantek PH-TC14PE in terms of dimensions (and cooling). So, I would think you will be ok. As for performance, the D14 and Phantek PH-TC14PE are both phenomenal at cooling. I do have a D14 and the Phantek is about 1-2C better. Of course the D15 is out now but it has compatibility issues due to being so wide. I don't know at all if the D15 would fit. However, the EVO 212 would without a doubt fit. Even if it does touch the RAM, you can always raise the fan up slightly. This won't affect cooling much at all. I have done it plenty of times and seen less than 1-2C difference. The Hyper 212 is great if you add another 120MM fan on it too. It can cool almost as good as the Phantek and D14. So, you wouldn't be out of luck using the Hyper 212 EVO. It may be cheap, but it's not bad. Especially with more than 1 fan.

So is this Phanteks one better than the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo? The other one didn't fit my case.

Yes, that one will be better for sure. Phantek and Noctua both make amazing coolers, and even their more low-profile/space saving ones are better than a hyper 212. I like Phantek's color schemes more too.
