Hello, I've been searching for a solution to this problem for a while and I need some help =)
As the title says I'm using a 270X gpu which is connected through HDMI to an IPS monitor that has 60hz refresh rate..
I would really like some info on whether the hdmi cannot transfer higher than 60hz or something else ?
I went to the catalyst settings and turned off v-sync.. nothing happened still being capped at 60 ( tried different games )
I don't mind being capped at 60 fps its just that I have dips to the 40s (Skyrim without mods)
I got the card since I saw benchmarks saying it can average over 75 frames on ultra in skyrim..
Now what I'd like to know is.. If I change to a dvi cable will I get higher frame rate ? ( yes I know my monitor can only display 60 fps )
PS. 60 FPS stays the same either low settings or ultra.. nothing changes.. just the dips.
