I have a 6 months old i3 3220 ivy bridge
Suddenly my idle temperatures have gone up to 45-50 degrees
Yesterday i unmounted the heatsink
Applied the thermal grease (i live in india with limited or no option for good grease) and remounted the fan securely triplechecking that the pins are in position and its not moving a millimetre
I made sure the stock cooler is not faulty by checking that it is running at 1850 rpm
I Opened up both sides of my cabinet
Made Antec X1 look like Antec Lanboy
Still the CPU temperature is at 45-50 degrees
Earlier it would be around 35-40 at idle but under load it would be 65 mega max
The main issue is its rising very fast, while copying 100 gb of data it went up to 98 degrees
Pressing f5 for 30 seconds made it go upto 75 degrees
I cant even imagine what will happen while a 3-4 hour continuous gaming
I have scratched off half of my hairs
Please help me save the other half
