Unless you want a SLI setup in the future, it would be a decent choice for the price.
I don't know how much you want to push your cpu with overclocking but it will do the job unless you want to push the limits. It has relatively weaker vrm compared the gaming 5 and 7. But this is normal for this price range. It has 3 true phase analog pwm doubled to 6. I'm not sure about the mosfets since I haven't seen the board myself. But probably it's some decent low rds (on) mosfets like the previous generation msi z87-g43 gaming board. I know some people who hit 4.6-4.7 GHz without a problem on a z87-g43 (with good water cooler of course) so you might expect around the same performance. But note that at these frequencies and voltages the vrm will run hot since there will be some serious load on it. Also the cpu overclocking is mostly a silicon lottery. You can buy a 400 bucks motherboard but if you are not lucky with your cpu you might be stucked around 4.2-4.3ghz.
All in all it's a good board for the price. Has a good onboard audio solution, crossfire support, m.2 slot etc, good build quality etc...
But if you want to play safe and have a better vrm I'd suggest a MSI gaming 5 or Gigabyte gaming 5.
