Will this older RAM be fine?

I have an old PC lying around and inside, it has 2 sticks of 2GB DDR2 900mhz RAM.

Seeing how 4gb RAM should be fine for now, would this RAM cause me any problems? Would it be OK to put into a newer PC build without it being too slow?

If I can use them, it'd save me £50 and I could buy 8gb when I have the money.

Any input would be appreciated! :)

what type of memory does your new computer use?

if it uses DDR3 memory you cannot use the DDR2.

Modern PCs use DDR3. you can not use DDR2 in a modern build only in older systems that support it. Check the motherboard specifications
