Basically I am building a rig just for GTA V(I know they haven't announced the sys req yet).

Games Which I Play - CS:GO, Batman AO, Payday 2, Max Payne-3, Skyrim, Watch Dogs(After Building the rig) and GTA 5 after the release.

Here is my config(Just want GTA 5 to run at Playable settings):

CPU- Intel 3.4 GHz LGA 1150 4670K i5 4th Generation Processor

Heat sink - Cooler master hyper 212

Motherboard - ASRock Z87 Extreme4

Memory-Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) PC RAM

Power supply - Corsair CS650 650 Watt

Storage - WD Black 1 TB HDD

Graphics - Graphics card-MSI NVIDIA N770 TF 2GD5/OC 2 GB GDDR5 or Zotac AMP GTX 770
or
Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X

I just can't decide between these cards. Please help me out.

Thanks.

First of all GTA V for PC, XB1 and PS4 will harness all the power of the consoles. Consoles have a GPU equivalent of a 270X so expect a large graphical improvement from the 7th gen consoles.

I myself have a GTX 770 and I expect it to last me 3-5 years playing games high-ultra at 1080p. The GTX 770 will do great. I'd suggest you get the MSI GTX 770. Or if you can the Gigabyte Windforce.

I'd suggest get a better grade PSU, the CS series is made for moderate gaming which is basically your general MMO games. Something like XFX, Seasonic or Corsairs TX, RM or HX series will do you more nicely

No shit(with excuse) dude myself with gtx 770 msi tf oc edition and even lower cpu i5 3350p i get on ultra bf4 60-80 fps watch dogs 45-70(have in mind that watch dogs is the most unoptimizated game out there and my cpu isn't enough) You will be just perfect eventhough gta v don't have next gen graphics but its a sandbox so idk if its optimizated good i would get i7 instead of i5 casue most games nowadays need an i7 cpu for ultra fot the gpu's there wont be any real difference between tf and zotac but they both are better than the 280 http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-280X-vs-GeForce-GTX-770 looks the fps difference between one 770 and one r9 280

Looks nice, perhaps change the PSU to a Seasonic (G-series) or XFX (XTR) for a hike in quality.

The GTX 770 & R9 280X are pretty similar in performance. Arguably the additional gigabyte of ram may come in useful in future for some games, or indeed if you want to mod Skyrim with high definition textures & the like.

After GTA IV & recently Watchdogs stuttering performance, just be happy if GTA 5 is released in a stable & playable state, regardless of your system specs :p

Which if it is, are good :D

Thanks for the info. I will be going with gtx 770. If it is able to provide 45 - 70 fps(Watch Dogs), thats definitely good. :D

Thanks for pointing on that one. I will definitely look forward to go with PSU you just recommended, if it is available and fits on the same price bracket as Corsair CS650M. Since I am already a lot higher than my budget. :)
