I have a MSI GT60 2OC laptop right now with Qualcomm Atheros software. The problem started when I noticed that the option to turn the wireless on in the Windows Mobility Center was disabled. The ethernet cable worked fine but wireless was unable to be turned on.

I figured the driver was out of date, so I went to MSI driver download site for my laptop at http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GT70_2OD.html#down-driver&Win7%2064 to get the latest. Upon installation I was greeted with a warning telling me I had to remove Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager in order to proceed with the download of the driver. I went to control panel and completely uninstalled Killer Network Manager which I think deleted the whole suite of applications.

Now, the ethernet cable isn't detected and the wireless isn't detected at all, whereas before it still showed up but just wasn't able to be turned on. Also when I go to device manager, none of the adapters for the ethernet and wireless show up at all. When I try to install the drivers/suite it says "no qualcomm atheros hardware was detected" and that they cant be installed.. I am completely at a loss for what to do, as I dont have the original CD with the software anymore. Please help!

Hi, this may be late but I think you just need to "scan for hardware changes" in device manager, then you can install again.
