Please Review My Gaming PC Build

Solution
[/quotemsg] In hindsight I shouldn't have said multimedia as it's extremely minimal to me. Gaming is what my focus is. Since I have a Logitech keyboard and a Razer mouse, do you have any suggestions of a Logitech mouse or Razer keyboard so I can stick to one company of peripherals? And also I haven't looked into 1440p monitors at all, any examples of good/cheap 1440p monitors? Or since multimedia isn't the focus is it ok if I stick to 1920x1080 monitors like the one I have posted? Thanks for the input.[/quotemsg]

[/quotemsg] What if I kept my PSU and upgraded my GPU to a EVGA GTX 770 2gb superclocked(I prefer NVidia over AMD) and downgraded my CPU to something in the upper i5 range?[/quotemsg]

Hey there.

A 24-27 inch monitor at 1080p would work too. Just think...

1. I would redistribute some spending from the CPU to the GPU, unless you know for a fact that your multimedia stuff is going to need the i7 perks.

2. Spend more on the monitor. In this price range you should be able to consider springing for 1440p -- particularly if you are doing multimedia work on it.

3. I would pick either razer or logitech or a third party and stick with them for peripherals. Logitech for example has a single software suite that manages devices ... if you have multiple companies thats multiple installations and background programs running to support peripherals. While the PC can obviously support it, i prefer to keep things cleaner.

Hey there.

A 24-27 inch monitor at 1080p would work too. Just think that 23" is small these days. 1440p will be a price jump of a couple hundred dollars.

For a pure gaming rig tom's has a good reference design here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-gaming-pc,3766.html -- but probably bumped down to a Intel Core i5-4670K. I would cut a couple hundred dollars off the video card to a stock GTX 780 or the 770 you are looking at in order to afford your peripherals and etc. (Particularly if you are staying at 1080p and not going above).

Nothing to worry about on peripherals. It was just a comment if purchasing new.
