opening screen for qx2710

on starting my computer the opening screen is the asrock screen with the bios options ( I guess lower resolution than 2560x1440) Will I still get the bios screen opening first or will this monitor by pass that and only start in the higher 2560x1440 resolution in windows. In other words if I needed to get into the bios with this monitor can I .thanks
