I have a mobile HTC desire 700 with has printing option but I am unable to use it as my printer has no direct wi fi connection. I use my printer via a printer server modem using address [removed] which works fine with my laptop printing.

I am unable to install printer to my smart phone with the same way. I even tried out several apps which is unable to even find my printer in the network. They dont have manual setting specially the hp apps, and those which have place to manually connect is not allowing me to write the full address of my printer.

what can i do and use to solve my problem. I want to do it without clouds and wirelessly. It will be best if i can get an free application for the same which supports wifi or direct usb connections.

I know android supports HP printers through an app but since you are using a modem arrangement then this will likely not work. If you want to use the printer without something like google cloud print then I guess you will have to meet the limitations or total incompatibility of the formats

How To Connect To Wi-Fi
What is Wi-Fi? Wi-Fi stands or Wireless Fidility. In easier terms its connecting to internet wirelessly with capable devices through an access point. What is Access Point? Access Points are hotspots through which you connect to Internet.... See full content

I think its more about the programming of the driver than the connection there is not enough demand to make mobiles have a driver written for them. Hence the cloud print. Why are you against cloud out of interest?
