Hey guys.
So recently i've been experimenting with the two sets i have here for my gaming rig, i've been using a BENQ 2720t for the past year at 120hz using a Duel link DVI cable.

The other day i plugged in my television through the HDMI cable to watch a movie in bed, and i noticed teh huge quality jump in picture quality.

So i began to get curious, and im looking into it, ive noticed the colours are more vivid on my 40" bush led tv, and on my monitor they arent as vivid, but they arent blurry and theres a lot more detial and pixel density in my monitor than the tv, + i enjoy the refresh rate of my monitor.

Is there any way to get more vivid colours like my TV, or is it just how different these are, the fact that the TV doesnt have anti glare like this does?

I redid my colour and monitor settings today and vaslty improved them but i always worry im not getting the best out my gear!

Chances are the TV is optimized to look that way. If you have an Nvidia card you may be able give a bump to the digital vibrance control(AMD has similar options as well, just a bit different). or even adjust the screen colors them selves.

People are so used to looking at non calibrated screens that if they suddenly used one it may look awful to them. It is kind of like looking at displays in the store. many times they have them cranked to levels you would not use at home in most cases.

With the tweaks you did to your monitor you are most likely getting the best you can from what you have. If you want a better monitor as far as color quality goes, you will have to look at some of the name brand monitors like ASUS, Samsung or Acer.

I've had trouble with those three brands, also yea to be honest the TV no matter what i did to tit was always that fake kinda colour, the colours were far too fake and bright that it seemed unrealistic.

BenQ is a great brand, just wondered if what i had done was all i could, i do run Nvidia but i find digital vibrance makes everything far too fake, kinda like how the tv ends up.
