Want to wipe hard drive bot keep os

so i built my pc and i have no more storage left and i dont know why in installed programs ive only used 50.8 GB but i have a 500 GB hard drive plz help

Your desire seems contradictory. To "wipe" a hard drive means to wipe it clean. It is not possible to "wipe" a hard drive while keeping something, especially something as complicated as an operating system.

Download and install a program called "ccleaner", it's free and it will clean out all temporary, dump files, and any other junk you don't need and aren't even aware you have:

That's a start. Then uninstall any programs you don't need any more. Go to Control Panel --> Programs and Features and uninstall anything you don't use any more.
