Hi, I am trying to pick out a gaming laptop and I am pretty familiar with most desktop graphics cards, but I don't know much about laptop graphics cards. I am going to be using it for pretty hardcore gaming, and from what I have heard, the GeForce GTX 800M series cards seem to be the ones best suited for my needs. I would appreciate if someone could tell me the desktop equivalents of the 800M series (850M, 860M, 870M and 880M).

The main games I will be playing are Team Fortress 2 and CS:GO and I want something that can run games like that at around 80 fps.

Hello! Here are the equivalents. Since the mobile 6 series, the mobile GPU'S have gotten alot closer to the desktop versions.

880m is around the gtx 770
870m is closer to the stock factory gtx 760
The 860m is around the 750ti stock clocks
The 850m is is around a desktop 640 oc or a 650

For CS:GO go with the gtx 870m or the 860m. Both will play at 1080p at high settings.
