Hi sorry if this is the incorrect forum, but I have recently built a new PC for the first time. I am not incredible tech savy, but I knew enough to put it together. All the parts I ordered through Newegg. I followed the Newegg youtube video and I did the bread-boarding technique before installing everything and it worked fine. Afterwards I put it together and installed Windows 7 and the drivers that came with the mobo disc. The video card would not update so I tried to restart the computer to see if that would work allow me to try to install the video cards driver. It did not. I tried to turn on my PC again and it wouldn't turn on at all. I tried unplugging the power supply and letting it sit for a few minutes, but it still would not turn on. I decided to take off the video card and see if it would boot up without it. It did not turn on. I took out the power supply to test it with the paper clip and the fan started to work so I am assuming it is working. I unplugged and took it apart to try again from the breadboarding and this time around it would not turn on. I'm unsure what happen and is wondering if anyone could help or point me to a direction that would help. Testing on different parts is not ideal as this is my first built pc.

In summary of that wall of text: After building my PC and installing windows 7 I could not turn it on afterwards when I shut it down.

I'm at work and I don't have exact model of parts, but here is what I can scrap from memory. Will update when home.
550 PSU
Nividia GTX 760
4GB x2 RAM
i5-4670 Haswell Quad-Core 3.4GHz LGA 1150
asrock z87 extreme4 lga 1150

Solution
Check the power wire that connects to the mobo..
After pressing the button if it is giving response then reset your BIOS from CMOS reset. See manual of motherboard!

does your motherboard have on board video, and onboard LAN, and onboard Audio?
harry_r_s is right, that you need to check your motherboard manual to see what is already on the board. if you are adding an additional video card, then check your manual re. how to set the bios for this.also make sure your connections to the motherboard are correct.
