broken hard drive on laptop do i need to buy another windows 8.

so recentley my laptop'shard drive broke, when i turn it on it says no bootable media, i have a toshiba satelite, so if i were to buy a 32gb ssd (i only browse the internet and play a mmorpg called runescape so i don't need much memory) how would i reinstall windows 8 that orginally came with the laptop or would i have to buy it again?

You would need to order the recovery disks from Toshiba, since your HDD is broken with your OS.
If not, you can use a legal download of Windows 8's ISO with the key on your system's tag. You'll need to know how to get and find your drivers for your system.
