I just got an ATI Radeon HD 6770 and when i plugged it in my computer all i heard was fans and there was no display. I'm planning on building a computer within 2 months so I am hoping this card works.
It should as it all should be backwards compatible. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether PCI-E 1.0 has enough bandwidth to support the HD 6770. Your GPU will work but it could be bottlenecked by the PCI-E 1.0 interface.

I've heard of problems about 2.1s not working in 1.0. My old mobo isnt the problem?
