Need wireless opinions

I currently own Amped Wireless R10000G router and Amped Wireless SR10000 range extender and am extremely unhappy with this product. My main thought is my mom lives about 300 feet away from me, we live in a trailer court and was wanted to let her share my connection, so I bought this and her coverage is slow and spotty at best. I know there is some interference but the signal comes in at 70% at her house without the extender so the extender should have a good strong signal to help her get internet.

When I do a speed-test on my computer it is 15.79 mbps and with her computer it is .97 mbps, so I am very frustrated that it is not better and highly disappointed in the product. I am not that knowledgeable at these things so I am looking for help. I cannot afford to hookup internet in my mom's house and need some help on either getting the wifi to work better at her house or some advice on what to buy to get her better reception, any opinions please?

Wireless rarely works well when trying to go from inside a structure to outside (unless its a really short distance).
The best thing would be to run cable between the houses if that is possible (as Fyllehund said).
If you can't run wireless then a Point to Point outdoor wireless bridge could work well, especially if you have a clear line of site. Both EnGenius and Ubiquiti make decent outdoor wireless bridges. I would suggest a 5Ghz model if you have clear line of site.

First thing to do will be to test your system at that location to rule out an issue with her computer. If you get the same issue, then you can work on optimizing the router and antenna position. (also avoid wireless repeaters and instead run actual ethernet to the device in order to not sacrifice performance. Repeaters slow networks down, especially if they repeat on the same channel as the main router, they also do not handle multiple different connection types, meaning if the repeater forms an 802.11n bridge and a G client connects, then it will significantly slow the N bridge.

If possible, also test with the antennas horizontal or vertical (matching the polarization of the client antennas will improve throughput)

I have done everything you just said and all is good on her end, personally I think it is the extender. Do you know of a product that I can buy that would work for her and for me.?

Depending on how you live there could be alot of interference outside aswell, home user hardware is made to work indoors in a home.

What you can check is the wireless channels, they should not be sending on the same channel, usually there´s and automatic option for this.

300 feet for a wireless connection is quite far aswell so the data drop is not so suprising.
Unless you get some high quality equipment to try with i´d suggest you go with a cable instead of wireless for that distance.

"abailey" thanks for your input and also "Fyllehund", thank you too.
When I bought these products they claim that the wireless coverage was good for up to 1,000 feet so I figured that if I got the router and extender that my mom could enjoy internet, apparently I was wrong.

Either you two or anyone else can tell me, the router has "B G N" and is it better to just run on one, currently I have it set for all three and 2.4GHz.

I wish I really knew all the stuff you all are talking about with point to point and wireless bridge, unfortunately it is all Greek to me.

Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated because I cannot get a wired connection to her. With three trailers between her house and mine, the wire would get tore up fast.
