I have a logitech mk320 standard wireless office keyboard. I have had this problem that every once in a while the keyboard will lag, it will not response and then seconds later everything i pressed will start going off. I don't know if this is a battery thing or the receiver is breaking.

Either way I wanted to get a decent gaming keyboard and I figured since most of them are mechanical i should get one but I just have no clue what to get.

I know about the cherry mx (blues, greens, reds, browns) but I do not full understand the difference except that some take more to push and the blues click. Personally I do not think I would like the blue keyswitch i could care less if it clicks or not, but I do want to have a tactile feel I guess, so I was thinking red keyswitch or brown. Frankly, I do not know the difference.

My other problem is that I do not want to spend a fortune on a keyboard. I do like illuminated keys, or backlights. I have a blue LED on my pc and i wanted a blue LEDs in my keyboard but if not that is not a big problem. I also do not use macros, so keyboards with millions of G keys and others besides a standard office keyboard just really don't appeal to me. I do like multimedia keys like my Mk320 though.

I have researched different keyboards and Ive had no success. Theres always good and bad reviews and a majority of the reviews change from different sites.
The Microsoft sidewinder x4 looked good, all though it has macro keys I will never use and red illumination, the price was right.

What are your opinions on mechanical keyboards? Do you know of any that fit my description and don't empty my pocket? Thanks for reading.
