I am having some issues with my home build randomly restarting during gaming. I'm hoping it's not a hardware issue. It runs games off a disc just fine. I can play those all day without issues. When i play certain steam games like, borderlands 2 or stacking, it will restart the whole system randomly. No bsod, no windows recovered from error, nothing. I thought maybe it was a xbox 360 gaming controller simulator so i uninstalled that and it kept happening. I kept getting driver errors in my windows performance monitor. I got so fed up i reinstalled windows. Well, a couple months went by before i got the guts to try another game and it is still restarting with no bsod or messages as to why. This time the only thing the performance monitor gives me is maybe a critical kernel power error. I thought maybe it was running hot but the air coming out of the tower is nice and cool. I decided to try to check the bios to see what the voltages and temps were running before any gaming for base line to go by for my pc's norm and it locks up in bios when i get to the voltage screen and restarts. This is totally weird cause it doesn't crash on anything but steam games and the voltage area of bios. What is going on?
this is what i have in my pc.

Asus hd 7850
asus crosshair v formula am3+ amd 990fx
amd fx-8120 zambezi 8core
2 sticks of g skill ripjaws x series 8gb
hitachi gst deskstar internal drive
rosewill capstone 750

I'm running win 7. I don't have anything overclocked. everything in bios is set to optimized defaults. Memtest runs fine. all drivers are up to date. bios is up to date. I would really appreciate any help. There is no point in having all these gaming parts if i can't use them for what they are intended.
