Hey guys. I'm going to be building a gaming PC very soon, and I have a few questions and concerns, I was hoping you guys could clear up.

Firstly, here's the build: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/dCVPgs

Now.

1.) I'm thinking of changing motherboards, as the ASRock Z87 is slowly dying. I realise I need a Z97 or a Z87 to overclock with my chosen build, so which would be better? The Z97 or the Z87? Or, should I choose a different motherboard entirely? If so, what one, and is it under $200?

2.) I need a case recommendation. I'm not quite sure if the 200R will quite cut it. It must have good cooling, and be relatively cheap (under $150)

3.) Last, but not least, what do you think of my build? What do you think could be improved upon or changed?

Any constructive criticism is really appreciated

Thanks for your time guys, and take care.

16 isn't needed, but it's nice to have if you plan on having stuff in the background on top of your game. I max out on 8 pretty often myself, even on a game like counter strike.

For PSU, i think a good 550w would do just fine.

If you plan on having a Crossfire/SLI rig, then maybe something liek this:

For motherboard this will do just fine if you're worried about the extreme6:

CPU, haswell refresh would probably be a bit better if its not too much outside of budget.

Storage:

You don't really need a 250gb SSD, I think 120 should be fine...

If this purely a gaming build (not editing or video rendering) then 16gb of ram is useless. I put in 8 gb but if you insist upon 16gb it's your money. I put in the new haswell refresh i5 because, it's new, and a z97 mobo. For the gpu I changed it out for an r9 290, it will give much better performance than the 770, and it's $30 cheaper. I find cases are more of a find one that you like the look of item. Otherwise the build looks good! http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/Bmj9t6

I'd say it looks fine.

People always say you only need 8g of ram so that's what i went with on my last build and i find i max mine out quite often.

As far as case just get the one you like the looks of.

For The mobo asus, msi, gigabyte are all good. Rather than get the sound card I'd just get a gigabyte z5s it's a good card with great audio for a decent price.

You don't really need a 250gb SSD, I think 120 should be fine, just have windows and boot up stuff on there. You're buying a 2TB HDD anyways, so everything could be stored on that for games and what not. There's no difference in gaming other than load times.
