Very bad internet, or is it just me?

Hello!

I was wondering if my internet connection is bad, or if it's just me. Speedtest results:

3.09MB Down

0.63MB Up

I am using Windstream, as it is the only service provider in my area. I can usually stream 480P videos on YouTube, but it always buffers when I choose 720P.

The p is per. Capitalisation is what makes the difference between bits and Bytes.

Units in the computing world have been shot to hell, unfortunately.

@OP, if you're using Speedtest.net, they have a 'Share this result' button, then hit the Forum button. Paste the result in a post.

if that is the only service provider in your area then you are stuck with slow internet. 3.09 mbps is good BUT what we are talking about is MEGABITS which is eight times the size of a MEGABYTE so in reality depending on your line quality, you are getting around 386 peak kbps right? overall i am sorry that you have such a bad isp becuase i get 400 mbs download (50 mbps)
