I am using currently 2 sticks of 4GB each for a total of 8GB in win7, but when playing COD or BF3 and BF4 I am closing to using 100% of it, I know that DRAM memory should be use in channel, any chance to use three sticks with a Sabertooth MB for having a total of 12GB and not having problems?
Ideal will be 4x4GB sticks, I know that already, but GSKILL RIPJAWS can`t be find for less than $40 nowadays.

Using 3 modules forces single channel. It's either 2 or 4...

I'd stick with 8GB until able to purchase identical RAM to occupy vacant DRAM slots.

I have a machine that uses 2 x 4GB modules and do not have a problem running the games above listed so perhaps there's another underlying problem and not the amount of RAM installed? And are you sure it's "in use" and not in "standby" or "cached"? What size of pagefile?

While in-game alt+tab and hit the combination of ctrl+shift+esc to open Windows Task Manager for detailed info.
