hello,
i just Sold my ATI 6870 1gb, was working fine with Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus, i also tested Amd phenom II x6 1100, with Overclock and fully Stable, this PSU is not as bad as mentioned from i bought i5 2310, i have stooped overclocking..
now i want to buy AMD r9 280x. but i cant buy New psu now, i will upgrade very soon after i get my pocket money,
now i am using that current Specs, please can some one Estimate,
i have exact these things non else remains,

1. ASUS P8H61M LX3 R2.0 MOTHERBOARD

2. INTEL I5 2310 (no overclock)

3. 2 x 4gb Cosiar vengence DDR3 1333

4. Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 650w

5. 1 HDD 160GB 7200RPM

6. 1 HDD 500GB 7200RPM

7. 1 DVD WRITER

8. 2 NORMAL FANS OF 6-7MM

can some one estimate is that enough to go with AMD r9 280x (never overclock)

i am thinking to buy New corsiar better PSU,
but i dont have money right now.
But is that would enough to go for now, i cant upgrade right now, but for now? it can able to Handle? i will defently buy another one,

is that can FIRE my house? or can make fault on new GPU?

550/650w XFX PSU would be good for your build since your not overclocking. They are made by Seasonic, who also makes Corsair's mid-higher end units. Great value for the money: http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=59615&promoid=1215 The 650w version is only $10-15 more...

The PSU you currently have is of very poor quality, and you should replace it ASAP. Check out this review of the 600w version. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Cooler-Master-eXtreme-Power-Plus-600-W-Power-Supply-Review/1034/9

so which one to choose atleast for Amd r9 280x and system which i gave at first post.

and is my current cooler master power supply enough if i buy zotac gtx 760 instead of r9 280x ?

While the GTX760 will use less power, that doesn't change the fact that your PSU is a very poor quality unit. IMO it's not worth risking a $200-300 video card, or possibly something else in your system getting damaged by that unit.

Thanks for Best Suggestion,
btw bro, i am running ati 6870 with i5 2310 8gb 1600, from 2 years, ati 6870 = 151 watt and gtx 760 170 watt, is 20 watt can do bad? i know my question is silly,
but if i think my system which i mention earlier, with ati 6870 was running from 2.5 years without any power failer,+ i am not overclocker,
if i add gtx 760, i dont think that can do bad, although removing 1 harddisk can Help?

ok, so i bought Nvidia Geforce Gtx 760 2gb and running with current PSU (cooler master extreme power plus) performance is too good,
but is that fine now? is gpu getting enough amp, i should worry about it?
+ i removed 1 harddisk. (i also playing gta 4 from half an hour.)
