Hey guys this is my first time posting on this site and was looking for some advice.
I wish to build a new gaming rig as mine is not up to scratch. I have a intel i5 processor and was wondering if I could use that on my new rig?

If anyone could help me out by linking parts from www.dabs.com. I have a case and monitor I would need new mobo and if I cant use my Intel i5 processor from old rig I would need a new cpu aswell. I was thinking of getting a 650w Psu and am not to sure on which gpu to buy I wish to play games like BF4 and WoW on ultra or at least high settings.

I have a budget of £600 I would also need a new heatsink aswell.

Thanks in advance

600 is tough. I typically suggest an all aluminium case, ASUS motherboard 600w or more PSU as a base to start with at least 8GB of Memory. General rule is to purchase your board, CPU, case and PSU at the highest quality you can afford, then, if you need to, you can go cheap on RAM and your hard drive and then just upgrade those later when you have some extra cash, but this way you've built a good base.

I would use this link to choose your GPU:

You need to find out if your Core i5 is socket 1150. But I'm not sure what you would want to get out of a new board if you're not getting a new CPU with it.

Sorry for late reply im trying to get my pc to start up at the min but it keeps making a noise like a clicking beep then freezes for around a min or so then starts again but does this near every 5 mins. Everything was working fine last week. Once I get the spec I will post it for you

Hey i was able to run Speccy and got these results.

Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 2320 @ 3.00GHz 59 °C
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer INC. P8H61-M LE (LGA1155) 33 °C
Graphics
Digital (1600x1200@1Hz)
14MB NVIDIA Standard VGA Graphics Adapter (ASUStek Computer Inc)
Storage
931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-9YN162 ATA Device (SATA) 34 °C
Optical Drives
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-222BB ATA Device
Audio
High Definition Audio Device.

I dont think i would need a new HDD or optical drive as they work fine if i could keep everything i could use again would be great but if you would recommend buying a new cpu and mobo together i can do. the case i have is large enought so hopefully wouldnt need a new one but could do with lots of fans for better ventilation as this one heats up very fast as only has one fan at back and fan on heatsink.

I know a wee bit about computers but not loads so if you could help me out that would be great. ill leave this pc on incase you need anymore info.
