Asus p8Z77v-Pro PCIe 2.0 x1 Slot

Hey guys,

As you know the board has 2 x PCIe 2.0 x1 slots but my second slot doesn't seem to recognise whatever I slot into it. I have always only used the top slot 1_1 for my Creative card but today I wanted to add an N Wireless card and it wouldn't work in the second slot so after some messing about I discovered that neither card worked in the second slot.

Any ideas what the issue may be?

Update the intel chipset driver and the BIOS, after you try those, if the 2nd pcie slot still does not work, then it is broken. No thing you can do.

    intel chipset driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=20775
    BIOS https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77V_PRO/HelpDesk_Download/

Will get right on that thanks.

Just to add that the Creative card lights up when inserted into the second slot so it is getting power.
