I have looked through treads here and haven't been able to find anything that fits my situation. Its a little wierd ill try to exsplain it to the best of my abilities. I have my families router which is then connected to the outside world trough our cable modem. Then i have my own router connected to the family router. So we have two wireless networks. It's set up like that so that i can mess around with my router without screwing up the wifi network and home networking. But i have a server and raspberry pi and they HAVE to be on my routers network. I need to be able to access my pi and server from outside our network. I have admin access to both routers(i control them) so i can port forward if needed just not sure how to access from outside. I know how port forwarding works just not how to do it when you have two routers. Also does anyone know what my isp mediacom would do if they found that i was port forwarding port 80?

best bet is to put your second router in the DMZ of the first router. This creates an unobstructed path to the Internet for the second router.

From there, you can use DDNS to create your own URL for that routers public exposure...

The downside of putting the second router in the DMZ (and having 2 routers) is the systems on the routers cannot "see" the systems on the other router, by default...

Once in the DMZ of the first router, the second router is "free" to access the internet however you need.
