Hello, putting together my FX-8350/R9 280x based build this week and had a question about case fans. I have the NZXT H440 case and was wondering if its better to replace the stock case fans with high static pressure fans or high air flow. Also to note, I will be using the Cooler Master Nepton 280L for cpu cooling.

Do not solve a problem that you may not have.
The stock fans may well be adequate.
You can always add some if needed later.

You buy a liquid cooler to be able to extract an extra multiplier or two out of your OC.
How much do you really need?
I do not much like all in one liquid coolers when a good air cooler like a Noctua NH-D14 or phanteks can do the job just as well.
A liquid cooler will be expensive, noisy, less reliable, and will not cool any better
in a well ventilated case.
Liquid cooling is really air cooling, it just puts the heat exchange in a different place.
The orientation of the radiator will cause a problem.
If you orient it to take in cool air from the outside, you will cool the cpu better, but the hot air then circulates inside the case heating up the graphics card and motherboard.
If you orient it to exhaust(which I think is better) , then your cpu cooling will be less effective because it uses pre heated case air.
And... I have read too many tales of woe when a liquid cooler leaks.
google "H100 leak"

I suggest a noctua nh-D14 or phanteks with dual 140mm fans.
Your pc will be quieter, more reliable, and will be cooled equally well

In most situations case fans favor air flow type and radiators and coolers a balance with adequate pressure. The case is an open air chamber and offers little resistance to air flow so high static pressure is not required to move the air. However you do want to balance the volume of air being brought in with the amount being exhausted. I prefer to remove slightly more than is brought in. This creates a negative pressure inside the case and promotes heat removal.

I used to be a negative pressure guy, but got sick of all the extra dust being brought in. Now with the R4 case I've gone very positive pressure (3 intake bottom+front, 1 rear exhaust). The rear exhaust fan isn't overloaded because of all the additional holes in the back like through the perforated pci slots. If I hold a single sheet of tissue you can see it being lifted from air being pushed out through the holes. Temps are all good.
In terms of fan static pressure for case fans, just depends what the fan is up against really, a very clear open vent, or up against a dust mesh and possibly metal/plastic grid on top of that. The Noctua NF-A14 is pretty good all-round in this regard.

Stock fans on NZXT h440 can be safely used. If you want to throw fresh air on GPU using front mounted fans and if there are HDD cages which will hinder in the airflow then use high static fans on the front side or you may also use high air flow fans having CFM of more than 75 (Do check the dB level).
For Nepton 280L use the cooler master stock fans in push configuration i.e fans will be pushing air thru the rad out of the case.
