Hello just built a new system. Seems the graphics card, Sapphire R9 270x dual-x 2GB, isn't working and causes the computer to get stuck in a boot loop, try to boot, restart...I've read a few posts on this issue to check motherboard setting for pci express when I get home I'm gonna take a look. The onboard intel hd, hdmi, works just fine. I've already checked the psu cables and power, it's 750 W. Mobo is Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z97.

Try booting with nothing but the power cable and monitor connected. Unplug all USB devices and anything else. Sometimes USB drivers cause a conflict and subsequently a boot-loop.

Plugged in just the monitor via dvi, nothing yet. I noticed the fan/heatsink on the card is not running, it seems like the fan tries to start and then stops. I'm wondering if there's a bios update that the mobo needs. I send a ticket to Sapphire see what they say.

Usually if the system refuses to start it's due to a power cable improperly installed. Make sure the PCIe power cable you're using is actually the PCIe cable. There is another 6 pin that looks exactly like it . If you try to use that one to power the card the system won't start

I tried the gpu from my old system, HD4870, no problems. I already contacted Sapphire they said I have to contact Newegg as the contract they have with Newegg is that the first 30 days Newegg takes care of it.

Card returned to Newegg, instead of a replacement, I had them just give me a full refund to get a beefier card. Some friends suggest looking at the 280x, what do you think? I don't think I'd wanna to spend more than $300 on a graphics probably would prefer at most a budget of $250. Later on probably just a few months I will get a second for crossfire or SLI if I were to go nVidia which I probably won't, just cause I've always had ATI/AMD lol

Thanks!
