Hello,
I am trying to update to W8.1 but unable t W8.0 not updating important files. I have checked the forums here but I have no luck.
I get no error messages, it just tries to download and bar moves, but ends prematurely(?) with 0%. I also noticed that Windows Update hangs (like over a minute) sometimes when I go out and go back into Windows Update and similar.
I've tried Trouble Shooting (Control Panel)
I've tried http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
I've tried deleting folders and files from the Downloads (which quickly writes new folders and files soon as I move it out)
What else can I try...or what is everything else I can try? I do have W8.0 on a Flash Drive...does it have some sort of Repair function I can try using?
Of course, W8 is legit, I bought it long time ago on release for something like 19.95.
****I couldn't update on my HDD, I am trying this on my new SSD but still, Windows Update is not installing everything so I can't update to W8.1 nor get new security features because of the old update not installing.
