Hi, I have a Lenovo y410p laptop.
OS:Windows 8.1
CPU:Intel 4700MQ with 4600HD integrated graphics

GPU: Nvidia gt 755m

This computer was working fine when i first got it. The gt 755 was also working. After updating the nvidia drivers and restarting, the computer turned on to a blank screen.

I restarted again, entered BIOS and Enabled UMA only to make sure only the integrated graphics would run. I needed to remove everything nvidia and install the nvidia driver that the lenovo company recommended. I used driver sweeper and followed these steps.

After restarting and installing the recommended driver, i can only boot into windows with discrete graphics when my charger is not plugged in. When i am booted and i plug it in, sometimes the computer will crash either with a dpc_watchdog violation, or a power-state failure. The charger does not crash anything when the computer is in UMA mode. I have repeated this process with the latest nvidia drivers and still problem persist. I have booted into safe mode and tried reinstalling drivers. stil nothing works. any program i run with my graphics card makes the computer freeze and crash.

I have tested the computer with memtest+ and no errors.

Is this a power issue? or is my videocard just bad?
