So I recently just built a new gaming computer (my first gaming computer) and the temps are kind of worrying me. I don't know if they should be this high. I have a FX-6300 cpu using the stock cooler, MSI R9 270 gaming edition graphics card, 8gb of ddr3 1600 ram, my motherboard is a MSI 970a-G43 (I know it's a shitty mobo but it works right now for me and I have no cash to go and get a new one.) My case has one 120mm intake fan on the front, two 120mm intake fans on the side, and one 80mm exhaust fan on the rear. The picture is of the temps at idle and I also had Unigine Heaven benchmark running Which is why the max temps are so high. Under load The temps ran around the max temps. Are these temperatures safe?

Solution
I agree with vagrancyx, switch to the 212 EVO cpu cooler. Use some Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste with it and it will run chilly all day long.

Then I would also recommend flipping the top side intake fan over so that it acts as an exhaust. You have alot of air coming in with just a small place to leave from. That air is coming in, heating up, hanging around for a little while, then slowly leaving. Have your new top side exhaust run at 100% power all the time to help out that tiny little 80mm (run it at 100% all the time as well). Run the side and front intake fans at about 85% and should should have just as much air coming in a going out.

Then you should have some lower temps. Be sure to report back.

Alright I will flip my top side fan now and when I get the money I will buy a hyper 212 evo. I was already looking into buying that cooler or something better when I get the cash.
