So guys, I've bought this Router today, ASUS RT-NT12 D1, and I've been trying to set it up this entire day. I've gone trough the Quick Setup and all, and I have made a Wireless hub, and my Android phone connects to the wireless signal. But I'm trying to connect my PC trough an Ethernet Cable as well. So far I've been unable to do this, sincerely because I do not know how my computer is supposed to react. Should it automatically detect the connection, do I need do do something manually, I've been seeing all those videos and such, but I'm still in riddles. Sorry for such a newbie question, but I'm still asking for help.
Thanks. :D

If you have the driver loaded for network interface (NIC) and you have the properties of the device set to DHCP in the IPV4 properties then the computer should be automatically configured to connect to the router.

Check the device manager and ensure that there are no exclamation points shown. Your wired connection should show up under "Network Adapters"

I've done everything I could, it seems I can't find anything wrong with the router itself, but there is something incompatible with my internet connection. I have checked every bit of solution I could find on forums, and it seems I have done everything right, still, no internet connection.
Also, the router does not appear under "Network Adapters" section.

The router won't appear in "Network Adapters", but something like "Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet" should...

When you look at the jack you plug the cable into on the computer do you get two led lights above the cable?
Does the light on the front of the router light up when you plug in the computer?

So today I've hard restarted my Router, remade the QIS setup and still I can't get my PC conencted.
This are some images of the setup.

On first time, this is the type of network it is detecting.

On second time, this is what it's giving me, but manages to go through after 3 times.

Then I proceed to complete the setup with no problems.

The router does manage to find my computer.

And my Android phone wireless connection.

And here is the network map my router displays.

And Widows 7 manages to find the router.

But it does not show on Device Manager.

This is the ipconfing while I have my router connected.

And this is the one while I'm simply wired from my ISP's DSL modem.

And if I'm trying to connect to internet via router, it stays in this state until I get error 651.

This are the network maps my Windows creates.

And it shows that I simply am not connected to internet.

This is all the information I can give you right now, ask me any other stuff if you think it's messing with my router.

This clear things up abit.
What i can see is that you´re using a PPPoE connection, does your ISP still deliver such a solution?
Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) Required your ISP to have similar setup so they can talk to eachother, i know that here in sweden this is pretty much removed, cant name one ISP that stills runs PPPoE, all are running Dynamic setups.

PPPoE also requires a profile at your ISP so a required username and password has to be typed into the router if given by your ISP.
Have you entered the correct Account name and Password provided by your ISP?

The WAN settings you currently get Gateway Adress 10.0.0.1 wich is basicly saying that something is not wrong, it may seem that you´re connected on the router but you will not be able to access anything from the web through that gateway i belieave.
