Lenovo laptop Graphics and Game drivers

I downloaded a game from a game site, and after installing I opened the game file. But while playing the game I could see nothing, the graphics were all patchy and I could not play the game at all. What do I need to do? Do I have to download a graphics driver or a game driver? If yes please suggest from where.

My laptop is a Thinkpad Edge 00346OEM899275250008

There are a few possibilities.
1) There is no "game" driver, but you may need to update video card drivers. I can direct you where, if you'll post the model number of your Thinkpad Edge.
2) Patchy could mean that your video card isn't powerful enough to support the game.
3) The game could be too old to run on modern graphics cards.

What is the game? What is your Laptop model? Then I can possibly help more.

I know the Product ID of my laptop, not sure weather it's the same as the model but here goes,
