Which PSU is better for my HP Pavilion HPE-580t?

I'm looking to upgrade to a better quality PSU. My original PSU is dead and I'm down to just my Corsair CX600M which has had recent problems with loose plug connections or something. I want to upgrade to a more reliable PSU and use my current one as an emergency backup. Which should work better?

Or is there a 600w gold-certified PSU which I overlooked?

XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W $36 after $25 rebate. It is also made by Seasonic for XFX and has 5 year warranty.

I own 3 of these so I have personal experience with these in HP desktops.

The XFX TS 550 fit in my HP p7-1436s, p6-2316s and hp p6516f although the cables get cumbersome.

Great find! I'm a bit skeptical about the bronze rating, though. I read somewhere that higher certifications are just more energy efficient. I've been suspecting that the certification rating makes a difference in the ability for a PSU to handle the full wattage levels. So is it better to get a 550w platinum or a 600w bronze? I saw a SeaSonic 620w bronze PSU somewhere. However, it seems as if my motherboard has difficulty handling higher-wattage PSUs. I once tried installing a 650w Corsair HX650 gold, but it would not boot up the PC. So would it be safer to go with either of the 550w models I posted earlier? I'm sure they can handle my configuration just fine. I want to upgrade to an 800-series Maxwell GPU and that series should be more energy efficient than the 600 series. I plan to stick with a single GPU rather than SLI. My CPU has a high TDP (130w), so will it still be safe to run, say, a GTX 870, in my rig with one of the 550w PSUs?

I may be thinking towards the Antec since I'm a Walmart employee and I get a 10% discount on general merchandise. So could this be my best option?

Oh, darn. My Corsair CX600M has the same dimensions as the XFX model. I'll have to look into that one, then, since the SeaSonic 620w looks like it will be too big. :(

Is there a modular version of this one? Or will this one be perfectly fine? I'd hate to cram up my case.

I ended up removing the optical drive to give myself more space for putting the extra cables however in the end, I ended up buying a mid tower case for $20 after rebate since the power supply could be bottom mounted. The ones that I ended up getting are the Cougar Solutions Black Steel and NZXT Source 210 (without the windowed panel). Mounting the power supply on the bottom allowed me to just lay out the wires on the bottom of the case.

Just don't forget to send in the rebate. Print out an invoice from newegg.com, cut out the UPC and staple it to the rebate form. Sign and date the rebate form. Take your time writing out the address on the the envelope.
