Is Diamond Multimedia good?

Hello guys!

I have recently bought 2 AMD 7970s made by Diamond. I bought it from them because they were the only 7970s I could find brand new. I am installing a water block on them so I also needed a refrence design.

However I have been reading about people saying that diamond is a horrible company. Should I return the cards then?

At one time Diamond was the premier GFX card vendor....it's had a number of owners over the years the last of which IIRC was:

1. AMD bought the assets to the workstation line back around 2001
2. On the gaming side, S3 bought Diamond and the "Savage 2000" chips was rumored to be the death knell for nVidia's GeForce . The S3 flopped.

But with "reference cards" you have basically "the same thing" no matter who's sticker is on it.
