Hello there!

Okay, so I have been looking at a few PC Specialist laptops (I know these are some of the best available on the market) - and I've cut my choice down to 2 laptops, they're both pretty powerful, one has an i7-4700MQ and the other one has an i5-4200M processor. Now here is where I need some help. You see, the i7 has 8GB of RAM and the i5 has 12GB of RAM. Do I sacrifice processor for RAM, or RAM for processor?

Just as a little side note if it helps at all, I'm going to be using this laptop for gaming. They both have NVIDIA GTX graphics cards (860 and 850). I don't have space for a desktop PC which is why I have opted for a laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm sure most of you guys are more knowledgeable on PC/laptops than myself!

Thanks,
Ryan

For gaming, you will see zero difference between 8GB or 12GB. Similarly, you will see (almost) zero difference between an i5 and an i7.

Personally, I'd go with an i5 and 8GB. Use that saving in other areas.
