How many times can I plug in an SSD hard drive without degrading the contacts Tags: SSD Storage Last response: June 23, 2014 3:54 PM in Storage Share pcjunky June 23, 2014 3:44:55 PM I've heard that an SSD drive can only be removed a couple hundred times, before wear causes the SSD's SATA connector to fail. Is this correct. I'd like to be able to remove my drive for security reasons? And is there a particular ready that is suited for the job? (Make sure you get a male-to-female cable.) Then you can plug-and-unplug from the middle connection, if you know what I mean, and if the cable breaks, you can get a new one.
