I have been messing with this for a while now, and can never really get a good OC., and was hoping someone with a lil time and more knowledge could help me fine tune this to where i would like it to be. Im not going for an extreme overclock, just something more than the stock speed...

specs:
CORSAIR HX1050
ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition
(CM Hyper 212 Evo w/ Corsair SP120-HP's in push/pull)
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2x 8GB) @1600MHz (9-9-9-24)

in BIOS: (RoG Advanced Mode, version 2.10.1208)
F5: optimized settings, saved, reboot back into bios
(([ in 'Advanced' ]))
_CPU configuration_
Cool'n'Quiet [ always disabled ]
C1E [ disabled ]
SVM [ disabled ]
Core 6 state [ disabled ]
HPC mode [ disabled ]
APM master mode [ Auto ]

(([ in 'Extreme Tweaker' ]))
AMD turbo core technology [ disabled ]
Memory frequency [ DDR3-1600MHz ]
CPU spread spectrum [ disabled ]
PCIe spread spectrum [ disabled ]
Extreme tweaking [ enabled ]
_extreme tweaking: DIGI+ Power Control_
cpu load line calibration [ Medium ] *changed this from Auto to rid vdroop possibilities*
***what all the voltages are currently looking like***

*on the side note*... when I'm in bios and after doing all of the above.. i change AI overclock tuner from Auto to Manual., it gives me the ability to change CPU ratio and CPU bus frequency. Defaults for both should be 20 and 200, which = 4000. I would like to reach a target speed of atleast 4.4GHz. When i change the bus frequency, it also changes the memory frequency.. and im pretty sure that is where my system instability comes into play! I can run prime95 fine for extensive periods with no core failures on small fft.. but when i run blend or even large fft, i start to get a core failure (usually #5). So i have avoided changing the bus frequency, and focused on the CPU ratio.. which then bumps up the target cpu speed and leaves my memory frequency alone., but again, it fails when running blended or large fft. I have tried changing the CPU voltage to 1.5, just as a starting point and figured i would lower it as i needed.. but most times my computer would completely freeze when choosing to begin a test in prime95 (having to hard reboot and enter bios to fix)........ any help from some gurus would be truly appreciated! thanks in advance~

i have followed that guide and end up failing in blend results as well. and I'm not trying for 4.8, i know that i am using a fan cooler not water.. i should easily be able to reach 4.4ghz considering that while running stock i idle at 30-33c and max out at 49c full load. they say you can/should be able to reach 300-500mhz OC while still running stock voltage.. and my ambient temp is always 70F in my house. If any1 that currently has an FX-8350 and running a lower OC like what I am looking to do (4.4ghz) please share your settings. ;)
I mean it runs great at default clock with everything i listed that I've done.. but just looking to get a lil more out of the CPU to help level out the frames while playing BF4 and other demanding games/apps. thanks..

It's all in the chip SILICON lottery , sometimes you get a great one sometimes a very average CPU.
