So a friend of mine wants to get a security camera for her house, and I need some suggestions for a camera to buy. There are some specifications I have to meet when buying it though:

-Night vision (I'd like to put it inside, and I know some night vision cameras have problems with windows)
-As budget as possible
-Has to be able to connect to a home server I'm buying for 50 dollars

She keeps telling me she went to Best Buy and saw loads of cameras that would automatically upload things to some provided cloud service and were wireless and battery powered, but I'm pretty pessimistic any of those are worth while. But if you know any cameras that meets the characteristics she just described, you'd make my life in setting this up less annoying (Wouldn't have to buy a home server, wouldn't have to have ugly cables sitting around, etc.)

Thanks!

Systems that upload to 'cloud' services generally include monthly fees or some sort of recurring charges. I do not recommend such devices because of hidden charges. I do suggest a wireless security system as you have correctly identified.

Here are some systems to consider: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=E...

I think your friend should go for the premium package. The package includes storage period of 2 months and complete maintenance cost are covered in it. My friend got this package with the motion sensor security lighting. He is having no issues with it. Learn more about the same here. http://www.chamberlaindiy.com.au
